An evening of Flowers & Music
Celebrate British Flowers Week with a unique evening of Flowers & Music
at Ashwell Flower Farm
Sun 12th June 2022
6.30pm - 9pm
(inc a flower farm walk and talk, light supper and relaxation to live harp music and - of course - flowers to take home.)
Celebrate the start of British Flower week with a unique evening combining the powerful joy of flowers, music, and relaxation. Be welcomed to Ashwell Flower Farm with a glass of bubbles and a walk around the farm with Barbara introducing the different varieties she grows and sharing tips on growing, cutting and how to prolong the vase life of your flowers. You will then be able to select your own flowers to take home.
While your flowers are resting, we’ll gather for a light supper after which we’ll ask you to find a quiet place to sit (or lie comfortably) to listen to the beautiful harp music of Julia Michell of Peaceful Strings. Julia has specially devised a unique guided deep relaxation session incorporating harp music and the spoken word to reflect the beautiful surroundings you’ll find yourself in. It's not often that we give ourselves the chance to stop and enjoy a really good quality rest and your mind, body and all your senses will thank you for this unique experience!
Julia is a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner through the International Harp Therapy Programme and has done further study in Guided Imagery Mediation and harp with Ludwig Conistabile, a leading harp therapist in Italy. Through her company, Peaceful Strings, also based in Ashwell, she specialises in harp for relaxation, meditation and wellbeing and has played live session throughout Hertfordshire and at the Mindful Living Show in London. Julia’s motivation in her work is to bring people times of peace and calm, using her harp music to create periods of stillness and deep relaxation.
