​We have a limited number of pick your own tulip spots to book this year for our wonderful range of tulips which are just coming through.

 

How does it work?

This is via pre-booking only (you cannot just turn up).  A booking is £5 for a group of 5 people (including children) - you just book in for the day you would like to come and I will contact you to arrange a time (i can be pretty flexible and so am sure we will find a time).   

 

If you are coming with a group of friends who are also booking then let me know who I should coordinate the time with.

Where is it?  Is there parking and a toilet?

We are hidden away near Ashwell Village Hall (central Ashwell - I will send you direction once you book).  There is no parking and so you will need to park in the village and there are plenty of free spaces around the village.  There is no toilet facility (except in emergencies).

​​How long can we pick for?

30 minutes will be the booking time slot.

Children

Children are very welcome and love seeing all the flowers and helping to pick.  However, this is a working space and there are many trip hazards and also deep water and a steep slope and so each child needs to be carefully supervised at all times.  They will enjoy the visit and learning how to 'professionally' pick tulips!

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring your own favourite snips if you have some and if not I will provide some - Tulips are pulled up and so you will mostly be using your hands!  I will provide a clean container for your to cut into but you may wish to bring a container with some water in to transport your flowers home in.

IMPORTANT NOTES

This is a small artisan working flower farm with many trip hazards - wear suitable footwear and you visit at your own risk.

Children are welcome but must be carefully and individually supervised at all times.

No picnics (but children can of course be given snacks!).

You will be given a container to cut into but you may wish to bring your own container with water in to transport your flowers home in.
