Ashwell Flowers is an artisan flower farm providing beautiful, locally grown British blooms and floral experiences.

As the British flower season comes into its own, we aim to provide flowers and floral activities to local people, florists and those interested in the beauty of British blooms. Flowers will be available from the cutting patch, and we’ll also be introducing more workshops and experiences as the year progresses.

Ashwell Flowers is based in the medieval village of Ashwell on the border of North Hertfordshire with Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire and aims to promote and supply British cut flowers as a more environmentally conscious option over imported one.  Barbara Lohoar, who runs Ashwell Flowers, is a proud member of the co-operative 'Flowers from the Farm' which aims to support and promote the British Flower industry.

'As a start-up, I might not have as many flowers as other British growers, so I support more established flower farmers by using their flowers and foliage as well as my own.

I'm looking forward to sharing my journey of developing Ashwell Flowers into a small flower farm while promoting other local floral professionals under the ‘Ashwell Flowers Host’ banner.  Earlier this year myself and local Floral Designer Suzanne Humbert had a great response from the local community following the Christmas wreaths, Mother’s Day and Easter arrangements delivered. This year I am also launching some summer workshops with another talented local Floral Designer – Lizzie Cree.'
